"Human Condition"

So say the human condition
That often comes off like a joke-book:

But then you take a hard look-

And see all the sorrow, misery, and pain-

And you're shook:

It all seems so insane!

Yet any way you look at it-

The state of the human condition is you too-

And you're hooked!

And there's no way to get out of it
Until you're dead-

So I've said.
